Terms of Service
Last updated August 28, 2026. Effective immediately for all users of Jiro Cloud.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Jiro Cloud, the Jiro search API, or any associated services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Accounts & API Keys
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys. Keys must be kept secret and rotated if compromised. You are liable for all activity that occurs under your keys, including credit consumption. We may suspend or revoke keys that violate these terms or abuse the Service.
3. Credits & Billing
The Service is billed in credits. Each request consumes credits according to the engine used and the volume of data returned. Free credits are provided at signup and may expire. Paid credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices are published on our pricing page and may change with notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service to scrape personal data in violation of privacy law; (b) resell raw search results without added value; (c) attempt to circumvent rate limits or credit metering; (d) use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or infringing purposes. We may terminate accounts that violate this section.
5. Data & Privacy
We process query metadata to operate and secure the Service. Personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy. When self-hosting, you control your own data and storage. We do not train models on your proprietary queries.
6. Availability & SUPPORT
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Scheduled maintenance and engine outages from upstream providers are outside our control. Support is provided on a best-effort basis.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jiro Cloud shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Changes & Termination
We may update these terms from time to time and will post the revised version with a new effective date. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach. You may stop using the Service at any time.
