Frequently asked questions
What are credits?+
Credits are the unit of usage on Jiro. Every API call consumes credits based on the action — cached search costs 1 credit, Google search costs 10, scraping costs 5, and so on. Free tier gets 1,000 credits/month.
Do credits expire?+
Free monthly credits reset each month and don't roll over. Paid credits (from Pro subscription or overage) are used within the billing period.
What happens if I exceed my credit limit?+
On the Pro plan, you can continue using credits at ₹0.50/credit overage. On the Free plan, requests are rate-limited once credits are exhausted.
What's the difference between Cloud and Self-Hosted?+
Cloud is managed by us with subscription billing. Self-hosted runs on your infrastructure with one-time purchase — no monthly fees, no data leaves your servers.
How does self-hosted licensing work?+
Self-hosted licenses are one-time purchases that activate premium features. They're bound to your machine, validated offline with HMAC-SHA256, and never phone home.
What payment methods are supported?+
We accept all major Indian payment methods via Razorpay — UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards, and wallets.
Can I switch between plans?+
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
